Im prinzip muss einem austauch durch DGT oder Phoenix Chess Systems ausgefuhrt werden. Es ist moglich so einem austausch selbts zu machen, aber dann wird dem garantie vonaus DGT problematisch sein. Deswegen biete ich an um einem austausch im Hoeven oder zum beispiel im Klingenberg oder Kaufbeuren zu versorgen.

Wann wird es denn eine neue Firmware für Rev II Nutzer geben, die keine neue Hardware möchten? Wird Komodo dabei sein?

Und sollte man sich für ein Hardware Upgrade entscheiden: Hat sich dann auch etwas an der Usability geändert? Z.B. das Speichern von Profilen oder Einstellungen wie z.B. bestimmter Programmoptionen?

Komodo ist nicht moglich auf dem Revelation II weil diese programmen, und auch so dem neu kompilierte Hiarcs und Shredder multi core, (oder besser multi thread) programmiert sind. Das ist nicht moglich auf dem Revelation II. Das gilt auch fur Stockfish 9 und 10. Bedenke, Stockfish kann ich selber kompilieren, Komodo, Hiarcs und Shredder muss beim author gemacht werden.

Am diesem moment ist einem neuen firmware fur Revelation II nicht benotigt. Dem neue emulation King und Schroder sind schon implementiert. Und alle andere sachen die jetzt im firmware implementiert sind, sind fur Revelation II AE.

Die fragen rundum usability, im REVII AE sind diese nicht anders implementiert als im REVII.

Ja, weil hier die C-compiler nicht limitierend ist, weil ich selbst dem programmen schreibe Unterschiedend hier ist nur dem geschwindigkeit zwischen PXA320 und IMX7D..

Fur die techniker unter uns, einem optimalisierung dem Arm2 emulationen liefert jedoch unterschiedene sachen, weil dem assembler befehlsatz von PXA320 ubereinstimmt mit dem Arm2 und dem IMX7D schon einige assembler befehle von Arm2 nicht mehr hat Aber dann habe ich es uber einem optimierung von native emualtion unter dem Arm prozessor selbst.

Auf dem Rev 2 läuft doch Linux, das kann multi-threading auch bei nur einem Core? Natürlich sind mehrere Worker-Threads bei nur einem Core nicht sinnvoll. Aber bei jeder UCI-Engine, die mehrere Worker-Threads kann, läßt sich die Anzahl über ein UCI-Kommando einstellen - ohne neu zu compilieren.

Da hast du recht, aber wir haben dem kommerziele programmierer gefragt dem programmen zu kompilieren fur dem IMX7D und auch damit getestet. Auch hier ist dem C-compiler fur REVII 2013 leider zu alt, das fragt zu viel umsetzung...

Ich habe das selbst bemerkt, beim zum beispiel dem kompilierug dem neuen freeware engines jetzt auf IMX7D, und das beste beispiel ist Stockfish 9 und 10. Dem 9 version habe ich intensiv probiert zu kompilieren fur dem REVII, leider nicht gelungen...

Ach egal Ruud, wenn auf dem Rev. II so einiges nicht kompilierbar ist. Dann kommt eben der Revelation III, der Egbert hatte es ja schon so ungefähr angedeutet in einigen Postings
