gerade deswegen wundert es mich, dass die beiden Module Senator/Magellan in der ELO Liste hinter den Vorgängern MP und Atlanta liegen. Umgekehrt wäre es ja einleuchtender.
Würde mich interessieren was Frans Morsch konkret geändert hat.

Etwas OT:
Ich hatte kürzlich meinen 386er Schlepptop in den Fingern und Fritz 3.06 noch einmal darauf getestet, ob er wirklich Hashtables auf dem Gerät anlegt, wenn ich die Option /x mit angebe ... er tut es! Angeblich sollen ja nicht alle Fritz 3 Versionen diese Technik beherrschen. Sind auf dieser "vollausgebauten" Maschine immerhin gut 3MB, die er zuweisen darf. Es ist lediglich der Treiber "Himem.sys" in der Startdatei "Config.sys" zu deaktivieren. Wenn ich mal Lust habe, vergleiche ich das Proggi mit dem Atlanta. Würde mich aber nicht wundern, wenn letzterer deutlich schneller ist. Sollte wider erwarten der 386er schneller sein, kann ich den ja noch von 16MHz auf 8MHz runtertakten, doch das wird wohl kaum erforderlich sein.

SD passive book 70%, Normal book(tournament book) 20% Aktiv book 10%
MS Normal book 50% Tournament book 40% Aktiv book 10%
SD is more stronger with this setup.

Mephisto Milan PRO and Mephisto Senator

Both program used the same opening books:
Normal book 50% Tournament book 40% Aktiv book 10%

That is true, BT 2630 Milan PRO is better than Senator, because there is a program mistake in the Senator. Without this mistake, Senator would be the better chesscomputer.

SD: Unfortunately Star Diamond has also a mistake in his program, with EX ON in bt 2630 test 2112 ELO. With EX OFF => over 2200 ELO

Seems, the Senator is the better choice for long time controls, while MP is better for speed chess.What mistake do you mean? I never got a Senator...What EXTENSION setting did you choose for SD during your tournament against the Senator?

1. Senator does that,while it takes the lead and make move repeat.

2. Star Diamond settings:
EX ON, HASH ON, Passive Book ON, Learning ON, Extensions ON

With EX ON very selectiv, but better than EX OFF.

At BT 2630 test EX ON is not that good because its very selectiv, but these standings are very rare. Beacause of this EX OFF seems stronger and it find the good move at those "very rare" standings but this isn't mean that EX OFF is better.

OK, i understand what you mean.
It is like the behaviour of my chessmachines: If you set their playing style to aggressive, the solving time in BT2630 ist much better, but the gameplay is noticeable weaker than in "normal" mode.

da kann man ja gar nicht glauben, daß MP auf voller Leistung gelaufen ist ?

Milano Pro ist nach 30 Partien gleichwertig mit Star Diamond, dieser fegt
Senator vom Brett, danach fegt Senator Milano Pro weg ???

Bin ehrlich gesagt sprachlos
