Echt klasse, dass Du es durchziehst!!!
Ich kann mich ja auch täuschen, doch habe ich den Eindruck, dass ein Voll- oder Doppelrundenturnier auch nicht länger dauert als eines nach Schweizer System. Irgendwo hängt es immer mal und dann langweilen sich diejenigen die ihre Runde schon fertig haben. Im normalen Rundenmodus können sich alle Spieler austoben, wann immer sie wollen - das spart Wartezeiten und lange Gesichter. Ist aber nur ein Eindruck, den ich so gewonnen habe beim Beobachten verschiedener Online-Events - vor allem meiner eigenen. Andererseits ist der Vorteil beim Schweizer System, dass man nur vergleichsweise wenig Partien spielen "muss" und man sich selbst weniger Hektik aussetzt. Hat alles seine Vor- und Nachteile...

@all: Im absoluten Notfall (also wenn jemandes Kiste abraucht oder so) könnte ich bei folgenden bisher gemeldeten Geräten einspringen:
Milano
Milano Pro
Star Diamond
Mystery32
sowie bei allen Rev.-Emus ausser SEC
Die Einschränkungen jedoch wären: Ich könnte nur unter der Woche (Di-Fr) ab etwa 12:00 Uhr spielen und allerlängstens bis 17:00 Uhr. Ferner müsste ich bei allen Kisten ausser dem Revelation spätestens am Montagvormittag vor dem Spiel Bescheid wissen, damit ich das jeweilige Gerät mit auf Tour nehmen kann (den Rev. schleppe ich immer mit mir rum). Die Wochenenden muss ich mir absolut frei halten und spiele da nur die Partien aus dem PDA-Turnier.

@Ricardo: Why do you think, Master Chess is different from Milano Pro? Any reasons you wanna share with us?

I believe it is not a 100% clone. I do not have both machines to make a test to see if they answer same way but going into this tournament could tell if they are 100% clone.
I dowonload chessgate client yesterday but they still have not send me the password. Since i am in the city of Puerto Ordaz i can play sometimes on 22:30 Berlin hour (Mon-Friday) or on some weekends from 14:30 to 22:30 (Sat-Sun) Berlin hour.

danke Willi für deine Infos bezüglich Rundensystem oder Schweizer System.
Deine Anregung ist insofern sehr gut, weil ich dich "sehr" Recht gebe das es
in Monaten wie Juli, August im Schweizer System tatsächlich zu "Verzögerungen" kommen kann. Und da bin ich bei einen Punkt, der mir
(Esel voran!hhhihi) und uns "Wichtig" ist, kein Stress und schlechte Laune,
DAHER, stimmt ist bei bisheriger Teilnehmerzahl ist ein Rundensystem nicht
unklug! DANKE!
Die Erfahrung zeigt ja das wir schon mehr als 14 Partien übern Sommer gespielt hatten, ok, manchmal mit etwas Stress, aber bei einem Turnier,
(das BDA Turnier mal ausgenommen) sollte auch ein 14 rundiges Turnier
ohne Stress und mit viel Spaß gut möglich sein!
Und da glaube ich sogar das man sich in "Stresszeiten" auch mal gegenseitig
aushelfen kann, wenn gewünscht!
Aus diesen ganzen Gründen denke ich aus heutiger Sicht das ein Rundensystem tatsächlich klug ist!

Wie gesagt bis Dienstag ist offizeller Meldeschluß, dann treffen wir einfach eine Entscheidung.

Hmm, ich überlege noch mit einzusteigen. Da ich auch im PDA Turnier dabei bin, kann es aber zu Verzögerungen kommen.

Schaut einfach, ob noch Teilnehmer benötigt werden.

Ich melde den Revelation Portorose. Das Programm war mir früher als 16 Bitter immer ein Greuel. Vielleicht kann es mich anno 2011 überzeugen.

Hi Peter,
Maybe that test is not enough. Novag Obsidian and Novag citrine have the same mark on the BT-2630; 1975 and 1974 but they are not clones.

Hi Nick,
I went to your link, very interesting games between cosmos 24 Mhz and master chess. I test the second position where master chess plays 39 Ke3. I set my master chess on PS 0 and L:30 (30 SEC/MOVE) and on the first try it plays 39. Nc6 i tested again and it played 39.Ke3? tested again and played 39.Nc6. So it is very hard to tell; this machines even with the random off they might play something different.

Hi Ricardo,

if you setup a match positon or even if you replay a whole game move by move, you always have to consider the ponder time during the original match. This problem is quite tricky, unless you got the opponent machine (here: Cosmos24) too. Therefore different moves will appear from time to time and they will not depend on any random stuff.

A better (quicker) way to check for an equal program is to play both, the Master Chess and the Milano Pro against another machine the same time. This way any differences would appear immediately.

Several members of this community already performed such a test and at this time i can't recall anyone who found any differences: Both machines always played the same moves at exactly the same time - even hard to recognize there are two "beeps". Of course it is up to you, making another test. Maybe you will find something, but your chance is very poor...
