In das Millennium King Normal - Labourdonnais Spiel, hier sieht man das King schon nach 13.Qa4 einen +3 vorteil hat. Das war alles ziemlich einfach für den King.
PPC Hiarcs 12.1 hatte die meisten der anfänglichen Vorteile auf seiner Seite. Doch als wir diese Stellung erreichten, war es Steinitz gelungen, einen Freibauern zu bilden. Hier hätte Hiarcs 12.1 die Gefahr ernster nehmen und seinen Turm sofort mit dem Zug 30.Ta1! ziehen müssen, um das Vorrücken des Bauern abzusichern – was die Partie im Gleichgewicht gehalten hätte. Der tatsächlich ausgeführte Zug 30.Td1+ stellt eine Verlockung dar, der wohl die meisten Programme nachgegeben hätten, da er den König im Schach hält; doch in dieser konkreten Stellung verschiebt er das Gleichgewicht zugunsten von Steinitz. Diesen Vorteil wusste Steinitz zu nutzen, denn aus positioneller Sicht hilft der nun nach c6 ziehende König später dabei, etwaige Vorstöße des weißen Turms nach a8 abzusichern. Taktisch gesehen hat Steinitz Hiarcs 12.1 schachlich klar übertrumpft. Viele Gruesse Nick
