Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
A very even game until the end where the Amsterdam manages to get a winning endgame only to make a poor move which turns into a draw.

Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
The R40 sets up an active defence and gets an advantage. However the Amsterdam holds on and the R40 seems to lose its way. And as we have seen before the Amsterdam manages to take advantage of these small errors to improve its game and go on to win.

Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
I thoroughly recommend playing through this game.
The R40 plays a sharp Blackmar-Diemer Gambit and takes the advantage almost straight away after the Aegeon book ends. However the position is complicated and neither machine really understands what is going on. The R40 finally makes one too many errors and the Amsterdam looks like winning outright. However the Amsterdam also makes an error which allows the R40 to force a draw. Some very human like play (and mistakes) by both sides.

This time the roles are reversed. After a good start by the Amsterdam it loses its way with a couple of poor moves. The Gideon takes over and punishes the Amsterdam.
