I backed this project and I really like its design except for three things.

Firstly, I still can't get use to the LEDs being at the back of each square as I am use to them being at the front and find them confusing.

Another annoying feature for me is that the knights are too wide and obscure the led on their square. I rectified this by replacing the knights with thinner ones.

Lastly I didn't like the yellow colour of the white pieces so I painted them to a more creamer colour.

The actual build and colour of the board itself is excellent and with all the chess apps that are now available for it, it's a great eboard for the price if you don't mind the LEDs being at the back of the squares.
