i have opened this week an elegance.
it is from may 1986 (day 136 of 1986) and has a 4 Mhz clock in it.
i suppose that the program is 'younger' than in your elegance.

just a trick : elegance is running at dual speed .
the main clock is X Mhz, say 4 in my case.
but the clock is divided by 4 in certain conditions.
i have verified that point with a logic analyser.

so the clock rate is sometimes 4 Mhz, sometimes 1 Mhz.
so measuring the median clockrate can't be done simply

i would be pleased if you could open your elegance and dump the dump, or find somebody near you to dump it, in order to compare the binaries.
