I can only agree, for many reasons unrelated to running MessChess engines! But I badly wanted to add Ginkgo to my engines collection (once done, I prefer to use it with Arena, as it is an UCI engine), and run some old Chessbase dedicated stuff... And sometimes I use it for its analysis output, which is rather nice to my opinion. But yes, the GUI is a pain in the neck.
