Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
The Tasc R40 opens with a risky Greco/Latvian counter gambit. Might work on a human player but the GK plays all the right moves and even the might Tasc R40 cannot recover from this poor choice of opening.

Opens with an English but transposes into a Benko Gambit with White giving Black the pawn!
The GK tried its best but the R40 just out played it.

Hello Clive,
That's quite a statement, a victory against the powerful Tasc R40 2.5 Aegon, even if the opening choice was a bit unfortunate. But the Saitek GK 2100 made excellent use of it. ![]() Regards, Egbert |

Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
This time the London takes an early lead but lets the GK in with a chance for a draw in the endgame. However the GK doesn't have the end game knowledge to take advantage of this and the London triumphs again.

Yes, I completely agree. However even the London can become unstuck in an endgame.
This is why the old dedicated chess computers are great fun to watch because it is never a done deal and like us mere mortals they make mistakes! Regards Clive |
