Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
A real tussle here. The MMIV put up a spirited defence and gains a little advantage over the Amsterdam. It is all going well until move 37. The resulting exchanges and Amsterdams placing of the Knight on d4 are just beyond MMIVs horizon.
Overall the MMIV played well but the Amsterdam still managed to get the point.

Re: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
I think this was the toughest game the Amsterdam Phoenix has played so far. The MMIV had the advantage for quite some time but somehow lost its way to the Amsterdams Karpovian play.

AW: Dedicated Chess Computer Tourney
Hello Clive,
Yes, Mephisto Amsterdam was already in a very bad position, but despite its 18 MHz, the MM IV Turbo still lacks a decent punch. In the end, Amsterdam prevails again in the style of Karpov, albeit at a much lower level , of course. Both opponents lack a little tactical strength. Nevertheless, it's a very interesting comparison.Best regards, Egbert |
