Hi Franz

If I try to change the board colours of the Leonardo in any of the 3 .lay files (sb board), the Leonardo v1.2 & v1.4 will change colour but the v1.0 won't which the SPARC must use. Why is this?

I don't understand!?
The Sparc is defined as sub-device of the Renaissance, not of Leonardo, so if you want different colors for the Sparc, you'll have to change the Renaissance artwork.
Of course you can also load the Sparc module in the Leonardo, but this is a bit tricky (only via TAB menu), but only in v1.2 and v1.4 - in v1.0 the Sparc module is not working.

Sorry, senior moment about the SPARC forget that.

But the question about the Leonardo is the same.
If I change the .lay code board colour then v1.2 & v1.4 changes colour but v1.0 doesn't?

Well, then maybe you have changed the layout option for the Leonardo v1.0 to 'Internal Layout'?

If you change the external layout (in the artwork folder), then in 'Options > Video' the 'External External Layout' must be selected (which is the default, BTW) to have any effect.
