the Novag Emerald Classic gives a harsh spank
to the Vonset L6-v1.
The result was to be expected, with 450 CElo points advantage for the Emerald Classic; but the Vonset seemed to be in a very bad mood, looking for punishment
In the first game, the Vonset blunders immediately; I mean its very first move played out of its opening book is a blunder. OK, the material loss is six plies deep, requiring some calculation ability, but the positional mistake is rather simple from a human perspective. Anyway an interesting sequence of moves, I suggest you should check it!
The second game with Vonset playing as White is as well decided very early, on move number 9 which is an absolute blunder
. I really can't find any reason for such a move; there is no deep calculation involved thus it can't be a horizon effect. I also couldn't figure out how a null move insertion could eventually raise a hope for the Vonset; therefore I suspect a hash collision. Once the game completed, I replayed it until the blunder position: at first try the Vonset played another, harmless move; but after a take back chose the same blunder again. Therefore the bad move is context-dependant rather than resulting from a clear programming error... And the game ends in no more than twenty moves.
