Below the list showing the winners of each cycle. We see from this list that each engine has at least once won a single cycle consisting of 7 games. Hiarcs 9 obtained twice the best result with 6.0/7 but on the other hand was also responsible for the worst result of all engines with 0.5/7 in cycle 16. Shredder 9 the king of all commercial programs succeeded in winning 10 times a complete cycle. The detailed results of each cycle can also be found on this page. Shredder 9 is the very clear winner of this tournament with a distance of 14.5 points to the second placed Junior 9. Both engines (Shredder 9, Junior 9) have played some very exciting games. Somewhat a surprise was indeed the third place of Chess Tiger 15 whereas we expected Fritz 8 with a better overall score. The middle field with Hiarcs 9, Gandalf 6 and CM10k is very close and only Ruffian 2.1.0 was at the end missing some important points. This is mainly due to the worse score (21,7 %) vs its dreaded opponent Shredder 9. After six months (February-August) our big tournament has come to an end. The games are ready for download. And in the next few days a much improved game collection with many commented games will be uploaded. We hope you had fun with this tournament and the many fine games that have been played.
