Mike Watters kindly performed testing the very same few moves I suggested, using two CP2000, one Scisys and one Novag.

SciSys 3mins 13secs plays Nc6
Novag 3mins 33secs plays Nc6

So including my own measurement, an average 3mins 21s... and yes, close to 40% discrepancy for the Mess based device, running significantly slower.

I do trust the F8 is correctly emulated, thanks to above Boris Diplomat tests (thanks Mark for testing & sharing the result). But the clock setting must be wrong somehow with the CP2000.
