The only time that I have ever played against a Conchess chess computer was at the 1971 British Chess Championship at Blackpool, won by GM Raymond Keene. There was a exhibition stand there with all three Conchess models. After that I did once buy a broken Ambassador with the intention of trying to fix it but unfortunately I couldn't manage to repair it. All was not lost as I converted it many years later into one of my SolusChess boards which I still use today (thank you Berger).
