AW: Millennium ChessGenius Pro
I have worked with Richard since the early days of the ChessGenius Palm and Pocket PC, supplying chess piece sets and beta testing all versions of ChessGenius. My latest contribution was the Russian piece set for the iPad. I have also visited Richard at his home in Poole whilst on holiday down there but talk was more of families, holidays and life rather than just computer chess.
What I am going to provide you with is my recent correspondence with Richard about the MCG Pro which I am sure he wouldn't mind me publishing and basically endorses what Maclane says.

Bryan:
With the release of the new ChessGenius Pro, am I correct in thinking that with it being 'the phone' version then it is one of the Roma version that you converted for the Palm?
Richard:
The Roma version was used alone in the early Versions of CG PALM. Early Palm’s had a 68000 type CPU which could run the Roma engine code unchanged.
Later Palms used an ARM CPU which could also run the Roma code by emulating the 68000.
Later version of CG Palm came with 2 engines, the Roma and an early version of my “phone” engine written in “C” that is based on the London but somewhat simplified
Bryan:
A while ago I bought a second hand Mephisto Berlin that had been upgraded to a London 68000.
Are you allowed or are you willing to say what simplifications you have done to the London engine to get it to work in the new Millennium ChessGenius Pro.
Richard:
Many have asked. Not answering anyone.
