1) Problem with graphic display:
   If you get a black empty window after starting any module, then Direct3D mode
   may not work (due to missing or not properly installed drivers in Windows).
   In this case do the following:
   a) exit the program, delete the ini-files for all modules in the folder 'ini',
      and restart the program again,
   b) call 'Options > Default System Options...', choose the tab 'Display' and
      under 'Videomode' (on the right side) select 'GDI' from the dropdown list,
   c) finally click on 'OK' and this is stored as default setting in 'mess.ini'
      in the folder 'ini', so you have to do this only once.
