Following up on the surprising Round 8 we have a few more in Round 9. The biggest one, and perhaps the biggest of all so far, is the Mephisto Polgar's victory over the Novag Star Diamond, with the Black pieces no less. The Berlin Pro also beat the Atlanta with the Black pieces, and this now gives the Berlin Pro a 2 point lead over the field. The Emerald beat the GK 2000 and this game, in combination with the Berlin Pro's win, eliminates the GK 2000 from winning the tournament. The Berlin Pro's victory over the Atlanta leaves the Berlin Pro as the only entrant yet to suffer a loss. Here's the standings and games:
