AW: Novag constellation beeps on poweron
As my Conny is kind of my first child and there is not much to loose , I tried with glue. On the first run all leds except one row and one column lid, however I forgot about my eproms i had put aside and one flatcable was not that all well fixed. I decided to cut off the hackled contacts of the other flatcables (2 to 3 mm in my case) , For one I had to cut in the uppersurface and remove the protecting plastic covering the flatcables contacts to have more chances of a contact in the Zif receptacle and reglued them , taking into account that 2 receptacles had the contacts from above, the other 2 from beneath. I glued the flatcable on the opposite side of de contacts. Now with the Conny open and running a test, I had his healthy beep again !
I wait for the glue to harden out completely , and reclose the unit.
I hope it will work and continue to work as I fear some problems when the glue might accidentally be at the wrong place .....
I used Pattex Colle Forte but I suppose there might have been better material.....
If It all fails I can always sell/retain the eproms (the one with the brown dot is actually not removable on the Conny 3.6 Mhz who only has one socket instead of 2)
I did spot the 2Mhz quartz which lies downwards from the Eproms (left front corner)
