I cannot say for sure as I never played much LC0 but it could be. It does feel like an AI especially in endgames where it seems to find its way rather than just brute force mates.

It reminds me a bit of watching the Stockfish against Alpha Zero matches.

Maybe that is why the higher levels are on a server so they can keep teaching it.
