Thank you for pointing out my mistake.
Tandy and Novag are contradictory.
And so are the ‘copyright 1982’ and the announcement in the 1985 article.
A dump of Gomoku (for the TRS-80 colour) in the same directory as the chess ROMs created this confusion.
And working on the Constellation openings made me less vigilant.
