Hi Gerardo,
Yes, I saw Luuk's video before. He has it well organized. I think he has a lot of his under the roof right? The way he set his up is great as he still keeps his private space away from the rest of the house.
My layout in the past was a little different, the whole downstairs was chess computers on racks (my private space). In one bedroom room I had all the old laptops, PC's and home computers and played those there. In the other bedroom I had all racks with dedicated computers (and I played those there) that are all packed away inside boxes on rack shelves in the garage now. A lot of the bigger boxes I had kept the outer shipping packing as well to double protect the bigger more expensive ones. So inside packing you still have the original box and the computer. (Sort of a double protection).
Downstairs I have a long front wall to back wall of house living room (a Den). There is a door there which takes me straight into the garage. The garage is part of the house.
What I am hoping to do is try and reorganize the garage, so that I have a manufacturer in a certain location, labeled and on its own rack or shared with another manufacturer.
The cardboard (white ones) are long and inside are a lot of computers from the manufacturers. (just like the Palm Pilot's picture). I have a lot of these cardboard boxes most of them I cannot get to and are hidden from the pictures I showed.
I want to try and reorganize the steel racks and replace the cardboard boxes with large clear large plastic storage cases, labeled. So hopefully one day I can walk along the racks and shelves and just pull out a case and remove the computer and box from the plastic storage case.
So I can walk from the living room downstairs into the garage get a storage crate or computer and just walk back to the downstairs living room and play.
The nice thing about that is, when I have family or visitors, they have their own privacy and I still keep my privacy
Regards
Nick
