Neuer dump von Berger: Novag Gomoku. Not a chess game, it's probably the only Gomoku electronic board game to exist? Though I assume there are some LCD handhelds.

*edit*: Berger has scanned the manual too, maybe he can share it (Zanchetta or something).
The game has a pretty annoying bug where it sometimes fails to detect a keypress. This is not an emulation bug, but happens on the real thing as well. In which case, the user can simply press the key again.
