Before I ask my question, two answers regarding messages #4 and #5.
- Yes, the values A778 and 3b62 are simple 16-bit checksums for each ROM in the E2DA version.
- No, for Excel 68000, Mach II, and Mach III, there is no verification of this checksum.

Now, my question:

Can you specify which version of the ROM you used for a chess computer that exists in several versions?
I think most of you use the E2DA version for Excel Mach III
(with physical ROMs or MAME/CB-Emu) .
