Good morning all,
Now the large wooden Chess-Master Diamond with PM11 module bravely meets the small, nevertheless strong, Mephisto Europa A.
As I don't own the opening module (PM10), for variety sake I shall let the CMD play without 'best' mode for its very first moves (6 as White, 5 as Black); then I shall restore the 'best' selection for the rest of the game.
With close to 400 CElo points margin, the Morsch program should easily prevail. This did not happen in the first game, a long and boring one you can exempt yourself from watching: the middlegame is kept closed for about fifteen moves where pieces go back and forth with high odds for a draw per repetition. The Europa A program has nothing to prevent that, it would have been a nice achievement from the CMD to get half a point from this match. Unfortunately, it is happy with a slightly positive score, and denies the draw twice. Once the game opens, the Europa A sets a strong pressure onto the White king corner, the Diamond commits a positional error weakening a key square, and due to the famous horizon effect commits a tactical mistake in addition. Game over.
The second game is much shorter, with a Diamond blunder

as soon as the eighth move. A piece of cake for the Europa A.
