Touch Chess was intitaly released in 2012 for the IOS platform then three years later, it was released as a Windows program. It was with the Windows release that the developers 2DEngine included my "Modern" piece set that I originally designed for Richard Lang for his Pocket PC version of Chess Genius. The Touch Chess program contains the Fraile chess engine programmed by Adrein Regimbald.

It has been many years since I last played Touch Chess but recently I managed to track down a working Windows version and to my delight, I now have it on my Android phone running under Winlator.



Touch Chess wurde 2012 zunächst für die IOS-Plattform und drei Jahre später als Windows-Programm veröffentlicht. Mit der Windows-Version haben die Entwickler von 2DEngine meinen „Modern“-Figurensatz mitgeliefert, den ich ursprünglich für Richard Lang für seine Pocket-PC-Version von Chess Genius entworfen hatte. Das Touch Chess-Programm enthält die von Adrein Regimbald programmierte Fraile-Schach-Engine.

Es ist viele Jahre her, seit ich Touch Chess das letzte Mal gespielt habe, aber vor Kurzem ist es mir gelungen, eine funktionierende Windows-Version zu finden, und zu meiner Freude habe ich sie jetzt auf meinem Android-Telefon unter Winlator ausgeführt.
