Re: Der Mephisto Phoenix - mehr als "nur" ein Schachcomputer

Hi all,

Today I played a few games of the latest Stockfish16-NNUE on my DGT Pi against Ruud’s latest Retro Update of the Fidelity Elite on the Mephisto Phoenix. Sascha said it’s a monster at over 2400 ELO and he wasn’t wrong!

I played all games with Stockfish as White with books off at 10 seconds per move at various UCI_ELO settings, see games below.

The Fidelity Elite v2 was set at an average of 10 seconds per move (A2) with Ponder and books left on.

Game 1, Stockfish was set at UCI_ELO of 2436, it got mated in 61 moves
Game 2, I skipped ELO 2529 and set Stockfish at 2622, it got mated in 50 moves
Game 3, I skipped ELO 2715 and set Stockfish at 2808, Stockfish won in 41 moves
Game 4, I dropped Stockfish to ELO 2715 and it eventually won a very long game in 148 moves.

So if the Stockfish16-NNUE ELO’s are to be believed, the Fidelity Elite is somewhere between 2600 & 2700. It’s a monster!

Maybe tomorrow I’ll record a video, it’s just difficult to know what ELO to set Stockfish at.

Cheers,

Al
