Zwar wäre Weiß mit 56. Kc5 im Wettlauf um 1 Zug schneller an f7 als mit 56. Kc4, soweit kann ich sehen, aber da es hier um einen Bauern-Wettlauf geht, den beide gleichzeitig beenden, verstehe ich nicht, warum es in der Endstellung besser wäre, wenn der weiße König auf c5 statt auf c4 stünde.
With Kc4, the king only frees the way for the pawn, but otherwise is inactive. Next moves are needed to race the pawn for promotion.
With Kc5, the king is able to remove the f7 pawn, then free the way for promotion, and the f file pawn is still on-time for queen promotion as it is much closer to the 8th rank. So the king is more active and gains a pawn that makes the game equal after both promotion (with Kc4, white is down a pawn after both promotions, which makes the difference in the endgame).
