Thanks for that, I'll try this out to see if it's usefull. Ideally, if I could somehow reroute the communications of Arena to a serial port, I would be all set. Arena invokes these lua plugins...

I think I got it figured out. There already exist a UCI interface for every emulated old chess computer. It's written in lua. This is how Arena can communicate with the chess computers in UCI. I just...

Well, 12 years ago I build my own "eboard" that communicates with engines like Stockfish, LC0, etcetera using the UCI protocol. I now want to be able to use my eboard with the old chess computers...

Is it possible to get analysis data from the old chess computers? I understand Mess communicates using the Winboard protocol (at least in Arena anyways) but the engines do not seem to send back...

Does anybody know the part number of IC2, a voltage regulator, used in the Excalibur Mirage chess computer?

The thing has a heat sink glued to the top,covering the part number, so I can't read it....
