I think the f6 tag for the ep was missing in the FEN, so that the correct FEN should be 8/6p1/4P1P1/4KpPk/6Nb/3B4/5P2/2Q4R w - f6 1
indicating that it is possible to take in f6 with the g5...

concerning the 2nd position r5kr/6p1/P1Q1p3/2bpPqp1/2p4P/5PP1/1P4K1/RN3R2 b - - 1 1 no PC computer seem to find it up to depth 14 and more deeply.
1... Qxe5 seems a draw, maybe 1... gxh4 also....
