Schneider mk5 - cxg crown

Hello, I am looking for the user guide of the Schneider MK5. It's the same machine as the CXG CROWN / SPHINX CROWN and also COMPUTACHESS III or STRATEGE

In German, English, French... no problem. It's just for basic tests (this is a poor programm).

I assume, that it is the same program as in the Enterprise 'S', Star Chess and Merlin 4K (i have a Super Crown and this is the same as the Super Enterprise, Advanced Star Chess and Merlin 16K)

Does it have 16 levels?

For the Enterprise, you can find the manual here: http://www.zanchetta.net/echecs/

Give it a try!

best regards,
Robert

It only has 8 levels (at level 8, it takes around 10 mn to answer at the begining of the game). I downloaded the "enterprise S" manual but this one has 16 levels and the way to set up position is totally different (I have no SET-UP key). The only buttons I have are New Game - Take Back - Sound - Level - Reverse Play - and the chess figures. When I press one of the chess figure, nothing happens.
So
- I do not know the average time by level
- I do not know how to check a position
- I do not know how to enter a position

In fact I read that the crown has 16 levels. So the MX5 is probably not a crown.

Help ?

I think, your guess about a Computachess III could be correct! I have a Computachess II, for which i only have the levels:

1 5 sek.
2 10sek.
3 15sek.
4 3 Min.
5 4 Min.
6 10 Min.
7 12 Min.
8 14 Min.

Try it; if you say, level 8 takes about 10mins. then these could be correct...

Sorry, but i have nothing about model III!

Maybe it is not possible, to setup a position. Some early CXG's only have three keys: New game, Level and Reverse (no keys for pieces)

But as your MK5 has piece-keys, it should at least be possible to check the position!

But it really looks like a Crown; easy to get confused about it...
