SPARC Speed

Hello all!

I have a question regarding the new Mess CB-EMU25.

The SPARC emulator allows you to change the MHz of the SPARC chip running it. However the default appears to be 32MHz when the original was only 20MHz. Although it does say ‘Real Speed’ which might pertain to something I am missing.

Is this correct?

here's a remark in the MAME source about the Sparc emulation:
"TODO:
- runs too slow? solving mate problems is around 60% slower than real device,
maybe cpu cache related?
- opening book moves take 3 around seconds per ply, should be almost immediate"

That's why I've changed the default speed to 32 MHz in CB-Emu.

Regards,
Franz
