A patch for the Conic Computer Chess
I propose this patch for the Conic Computer Chess (cncchess2.zip) in order to respect rules of castling (black and white).
The problem appears in https://www.schachcomputer.info/foru...postcount=4729, by Franz (fhub). Unzip cncchess2.zip, with a binary editor change old byte value with the new one (offset begin at 0) in the file c11485.u2 . Rename the old cncchess2.zip to keep the original, and create a new cncchess2.zip with the modified c11485.u2 . offset old value new value 4F2 EA 60 4F3 EA 18 4F4 EA 69 4F5 EA 46 4F6 EA C5 4F7 EA 50 4F8 EA 4C 4F9 EA 84 4FA 60 16 67A 09 A9 67B 04 06 680 09 4C 681 70 F3 682 C5 14 683 50 EA Cordially, mychess |

We already have a few 'modified' ROM versions with bugfixes in CB-Emu, so I'll probably also include this one. Many thanks, Franz |
Re: AW: A patch for the Conic Computer Chess
Hello Franz,
Not a new doctor for chess computers : first modification was on Sargon I on the trs-80 in 1981. Patch is a patch, not the best solution. Where I can send you the new file ? Cordially, mychess. |

And it's also already in my CB-Emu version ... Regards, Franz |
Re: AW: Re: AW: A patch for the Conic Computer Chess
Hi Franz,
The new file is not the patched file. I have re-assembly with a better respect to a time critical routine (not necessary for the emulator, but perhaps for a real eprom). Cordially, mychess |

Well, I can't burn an eprom and I don't have this real device, but if this new version is useful for the emulation, then you could just send it to me as attachment in a PM. |
