Mephisto 2 (DH4005)
 

Hallo,

ich habe mal eine Frage zum Netzteil. Es handelt sich bei meinem Mephisto II um eins der ersten Modelle.
Welches Netzteil benötigt dieser Schachcomputer?

Auf der Seite werden zwei verschiede Netzteile mit unterschiedlichen Voltzahlen angegeben.

Hello Michael,
I understand any of both can be used, as they fit as well a Mephisto I, so despite being an early Meph II yours is not as early as a Meph I...
The difference with the higher voltage is it is AC (alternative), so the actual voltage once internally regulated in the device is lower.
I own a Meph II (DH4005 S/N 0109560) powered by still another type of adapter:
H+G Type: DH4100
prim.: 220 V/50 Hz
sek.: 9 V/200 mA
I tested, it delivers AC.
With AC you don't need to bother about polarity at the connector plug.
With DC (should you use a generic adapter), beware (Plus inside, according to the WiKi)

My Mephisto II only works with a 9V AC power supply. Nothing works with 6V DC.

Offiziell 8,5 Volt Wechselspannung . Das hatte mein erster Mephisto I .

Oder 7,5 -9 Volt Gleichspannung. Besser 9 Volt

6 Volt DC ist zu wenig.

Bei Gleichspannung Pluspol Innen. Bei den Netzteilen von Mephisto kommt allerdings mehr Spannung raus, als drauf steht, aber das verkraftet das Brikett. Besser ist es , ein geregeltes Netzteil benutzen.

So gesehen gibt es ja sogar 3 verschiedene Netzteile .

HGN 4200 ,(was ich besitze )
HG 4200 ,äußerlich moderner ,aber technisch gleich,
HGN 5002 mit 8 Volt Gleichspannung,
