Fritz 3 run X-mode
 

Hi,
To be able to use a larger Hash Table size it is necessary to load the engine Fritz 3 in the X-mode
Does anyone know how to do it?

Hi Marco,

DFend settings:

https://www.schachcomputer.info/Bilder/fritz3.jpg

Create a file with the name fritz3.bat (Fritz 3 folder)

content:

FRITZ3.exe /x

and change the path under DFend:

https://www.schachcomputer.info/Bilder/fritz3_2.jpg

and start fritz3.bat

https://www.schachcomputer.info/Bilder/fritz3_3.jpg

If everything is ok, you will see 8 MB hash.

Hi, yes, and assuming you allocate enough memory size (32M), you can reach 16M.
bat file: fritz3 /x16384
XMS & EMS memory must indeed be disabled.
