Problem with portorose module
 

Hallo alle, hoffe ich, dass jemand mir helfen kann. Mein portorose 32bit Spielmodul hält nicht it' s-Einstellungen, nachdem ich es abstelle. Wenn ich es wieder einschalte, muss ich die Einstellungen wieder justieren. Gibt es eine kleine Batterie innerhalb des Moduls das ist tot und muss ersetzt werden? Oder gibt es eine Menüjustage von Modul selbst, das ich nicht ungefähr weiß? Jede mögliche Hilfe würde geschätzt, Dank und Respekt, Larry

Hello all, I hope someone can help me. My 32bit portorose game module
will not hold it's settings after I turn it off. When I turn it on again, I must
adjust the settings again. Is there a small battery inside the module that
is dead and must be replaced? Or is there a menu adjustment from the
module itself that I do not know about?

Hallo Larry,

die Batterie befindet sich im Displaymodul - das ist leicht zu öffnen. Schau mal hier und hier.

Es ist eine CR2032 mit angeschweißtem Sockel. Ich habe gerade mein 16/32 Bit Display Modul vom Genius-Satz geöffnet; diese Batterie ist drinnen!

Hello Michael, I am sorry to trouble you further. Yes the battery is easy
to find. But as you say it is welded into place. Could you tell me how to
get it out? Do I have to apply heat?

Hello Larry,

you need a soldering iron to desolder the battery base pins from the board; they are welded to the battery. The best is, to desolder the base pins and to replace the battery by a battery holder where you can easily mount and exchange the battery later on, when you have the same problem again.

could purchase those batteries with the battery holder already attached.
It was a simple job. Please have patience with me, I am seven years older
