sapphire
Hi,
I am new in this forum and still can not post on german. Two questions: 1) can the citrine board be used to play with the sapphire? 2) on this link https://www.schach-computer.info/wik...Novag_Sapphire it says that there are two types of sapphire one that runs at 20 Mhz and one that runs at 26,6 Mhz. Is there anyway to know what type of sapphire frecuency the model has without oppening it? ricardo |
AW: sapphire
Hi,
no the Sapphire does not run with the Citrine chessboard ... As far as I know, only the first version of the Sapphire I was running with 20 MHz clockspeed ... I think, the only way is to open the computer or compare the solving time in the BT test with other units ... but then you have to know how fast the other one is ... Maybe there is a way for reading out the information with the computer interface ... but ... I think it is no problem to open the device ... and it is the fastest way ... :zwinker: Kind Regards, Sascha |
Re: AW: sapphire
Thanks Sascha for your answer,
I saw this link: https://www.schach-computer.info/wik...ag_Sapphire_II and sapphire II runs at even faster frecuency 32 Mhz. So maybe sapphire I did have two different models that operates at different frecuencies maybe the best way with out oppening is to make the BT tests as you wrote. Some minutes ago i found out that the problem to use the citrine board with the sapphire is the different baud rate that they have. Citrine uses 56.700 baud and sapphire uses 9.600 baud. Is there any bud rate converte in the market?. Has any use one of them? best regards Ricardo |
