Analyst LCD

Hallo,

Irgendwelche Ideen?

Dank

Schade mein Deutsch ist nicht besonders gut.

LCD works OK. But won't display, search-depth
position evaluation,
best move. Only time clocks will display. Maybe software glitch.

Hi,
I think also that it is a software failure. Because the LCD is "dumb" ... is shows only the things which are send from the main unit. If the display had a problem it would show nothing at all ...

So perhaps you should try to replace the EPROM with a new one.

Kind Regards,
Sascha

No problem. In my opinion should that solve your problem.
It would be nice to keep us informed.

IMO this sounds like a miscommunication between
BOARD and MODULE.

it is the BOARD who controls all features, the board is kind of GUI like Arena.
the module is like an UCI engine.

Which board you use it ?
do you have another board or know another person who is willing to allow you to test your module in his board ?

Hi Thorsten,
I don't think so. Because if you have a contact problem there should be no function in the display at all ... Maybe if one pin has a contact problem I could imagine that some dots in the matrix will not work ...

But: Some information are displayed correct and some not? I don't think that this is a hardware problem ... but nevertheless ... you never know ...

So I think the user should try both: Try a different EPROM and testting the module in a second board.

Regards,
Sascha

I have the Leonardo board. The board lights will show main line, depth and evaluation however it just won't come up on the LCD display. The manual suggests "function" then "info" keys but I just get an error noise. I will have a new EPROM in a few days but I don't really have another board to try. Not such a big issue just thought maybe this was a common defect or I'm misunderstanding the user guide.
