Hallo,

Dieses wochenende spiellen wir in Lieden
Ich solte versuchen alle partien hier in forum zu platzen
Dieses mal ein Oldieturnier,elo nicht hogher dann 1750
Ehr sind jetz 8 schachcomputer ingeschreibt.

Turbo King 1
Chess Challenger 7
MM II
Super Enterprise
MM III
MK IV
Chess Proffesor
AG 2100

Vielleicht kommen noch 2 kiste darbei.....
Das level ist 1 stunden fur die ganze partij pro seite.
Wir sollen spass haben,

Auch das hauptturnier mit Rykba,Hiarcs,Fruit,Deep Shredder,Loop,The King,Deep Gandalf,The Baron,Joker,Ant, IsiChess,XiniX,Hermann,Zzzzz solte intersantes sein.Schade das niemals die ganze welttop zusammen ist,Fritz-Hydra-Jonny-Junior etc. schade...

Ja, ist wirklich schade! Man könnte glatt meinen, die hätten untereinander Angst vor den anderen. Da geht (wohl aus Gründen des Marketings) eine Menge an Spass verloren und diese Turniere verlieren zudem enorm an Aussagekraft. Das ist schon genauso schlimm wie bei den Super-GMs...:mad:

The Turbo King 1 and the AG 2100 where dominate this tournament
I didn't expect that the AG would lose from the Turbo King 1
But it did happen in round 3:zwinker:
The Turbo "Rykba"King 1 won all games 7 out 7 and played good games,so a deserved champion
The AG 2100 become 2th with 5,5 out 7 ,showed always interesting games
MM 2 and the chess proffesor where both battle for place 3 and ended wit 4 out of 7, but the mm2 became 3th
The Super Enterprise played some good and some weak games and became 5th with 3,5 out 7 the last game vs the Meph.3 it showed it;s deadly kingattack
Mephisto3 had 3 out 7 , some good games ,but also some weak endgames
CC7 the revallation from this tournament , it played 3 a 4 games really good! become 3 winspositions,but couldn't finish it,because it was to tactic for him
The last place was for a rare Mk 4 ,wich was the battle of the sunday MK 4 vs CC7 , oldie from +-1978 and 1980 wich the cc7 convinced won
So i was there with 2 computers, on sunday Ruud operate Ruud the AG for me
So i had more time to see the Big guys playing....
No comment on the 1 place! Rykba where this tournament supreme,with annoucing in 2 ore 3 games mate in 18-20-20 !!
So i become 1 and 2, so i decided to give up mine 2th place and put the price to nr 3 and 4 .it's just a hobby:yummy:
Later on the games will follow in pgn.

Hello Hans,

seems, the users tournament ("oldie tournament") was much more interesting and exciting than the open. The ladder was even boring... (just my humble opinion)

Hello Robert,

Here the info of the Chess Proffesor, it's made by Newcrast Technologies same as the Super Enterprise, Sphinx and CXG are the same company
Newrast is stopped arrond 1990, The program of the Proffesor is from Frans Morsch and build in +- 1989, The Enterprise is build in 1986 and is from Kaare Danielsen . Kaare was discouverd by(on a special market in Brussel) Jan Louwan and he helped him on the way,Kaare programed on his little room in Danmark Jan did the testingwork,However the company did build computers with Kaare programs in it, but for commercial reasons the company said the program was from Julian Kaplan ,because he was much more famous as Kaare .technical info of the Chess Proffesor: 6301/16 Kb Rom/256Kbyte Ram/2MHz
So it's not a clone Robert.

I can't believe, that they cheated that way! Can you imagine, how Kaare Danielsen must have been feeling about that? And it was also a risc for Kaplan! What, when the customers had been disappointed about the program?
Until now i know only of one 6301-program by Frans Morsch: the Mephisto Europa/Europa A/Marco Polo! But they are running at 8 MHz!

Are the specs of the Chess Professor really correct? (i mean, did somebody open it and peek inside?) Or is it stated in the manual?

The 6301 is capable to manage much higher clock speeds than 2 MHz (normally 16 MHz is no problem)

Maybe the Chess Professor was meant to be a machine for beginners (like the "Maestro Schachprofessor" by Stadlbauer) and they had to slow it down!
I want to find out something more!

What sounds a little mysterious to me, that there shall be only one computer with this program inside! When you compare, how often most Morsch-programs have been cloned...

A very interesting machine (especially when you see its good results in Leiden! Normally a beginner's computer should not be able to beat Rebell 5,0!;) )
