Conchess M & P Modul
 

Hallo und Guten Abend,


ich brauche mal Hilfe und Tipps bei o.g. Kombination.
Lt. Wiki sollen P & M Modul nur zusammen harmonieren.
Bei mir leider nicht.
Das Princhess Modul läuft nur alleine. Stecke ich das Amsterdam dazu, geht nichts mehr.

Beide Module sind aber technisch in Ordnung.
Ich hänge mal Bilder dran.
Eventuell stimmt etwas mit dem Inhalt der beiden 27128er Eproms nicht.
Hat jemand zufällig die Inhalte dieser beider Eproms und oder eine funktionierte Kombination?

hast Du Deine ROMs mal mit jenen in CB-Emu bzw. MessExtra vergleichen?
Wir haben ja auch diverse Conchess-Versionen und die funktionieren alle.

danke für dein Feedback.
Leider habe ich keine passende Kombination in der EMU gefunden.
Vielleicht stimmt auch die Wiki nicht und das Princhess läuft doch alleine und das Amsterdam läuft nur in einer anderen Kombination.

na ja, dann wäre doch eine Möglichkeit, uns (oder zumindest mir) Deine ROM-Dumps zur Verfügung zu stellen,
sodaß wir sie in der Mess-Emulation testen könnten, oder? ;)

Good ideas gentlemen!
The P is not for Princhess, it's for Program-module.
The last picture of a module with 6 x eprom is a Conchess Original stand-alone (A0) - not modified module.

ok, die ROMs sind angekommen - vielen Dank! :)

Wenn man aus den 2x16kB-ROMs ein 32kB-ROM macht, dann ist das fast identisch mit dem bereits vorhandenen Conchess Amsterdam 8MHz -
es sind nur 5 Bytes Unterschied, also ist das ein ganz 'normales' Amsterdam-Modul (mit einer evt. leicht unterschiedlichen Programm-Version),
das nicht zusammen mit dem originalen Princhess-Modul funktioniert.

Es läuft auch problemlos in CB-Emu mit dem Amsterdam 8MHz-Treiber (concams8), aber bevor ich es konkret in CB-Emu einbaue, warte ich noch ab,
wie 'hap' diese Version in MAME benennt, damit die Unterschiede zwischen MAME und CB-Emu nicht zu groß werden. ;)

Hi Volker,

I checked out your rom dump. It's the 4MHz version of Amsterdam.

Where did the numbers 133, 134 come from? Were these labels on the backside of the chips maybe? Or on the PCB?
*edit* ah I see them on the PCB next to the chips.

*edit2* Oh, reason I was confused is because there are 2 different sets of eproms in the photos.
The 12.11.85 version, did you dump those too?
And if this is the one that's not working: I suspect they're in the wrong sockets (swap them)

To make an M module you can try removing the 6 EPROMs from your A0 module.
To get the old M module working you need to cut the power to the 3 ROMs (pin 24).
Either of these should then work together with the small P module.
