also ich habe die Windows-Version installiert und wie geht es dann theoretisch weiter? Als UCI-Engine kann ich nicht installieren, da eine exe verlangt wird.

Dann koenntest Du z.B. pyinstaller verwenden oder einfach die Windows Version von Lars verwenden.

Also ich habe jetzt mal beide Alternativen probiert. Nach einer Installationsorgie (von python für Windows bis zu den diversen fehlenden Paketen) scheitere ich letzt leider mit Fehlermeldungen bei pyinstaller oder alternativ bei auto-py-to-exe. Hier geht es also für mich nicht weiter...

Bei Windows: Die Integration der Certabo-UCI von Lars in Pychess funktioniert grundsätzlich, möchte ich aber ein Spiel gegen Stockfish machen, dann wird sofort eine Eröffnungsvariante abgespult und das Brett leuchtet wie ein Christbaum. Gibt es da eine Option in Pychess, um das abzuschalten? Ich habe zumindest nichts gefunden...Pychess selbst finde ich interessant, gibt doch einige nette Features.

Wegen dem Lichess-Bot: Bevor ich mich da ranmache, eine Verständnisfrage: Ich spiele dann mit dem Brett quasi gegen Computergegner, oder? Ob das so viel Sinn macht?

Allgemein zum Onlinespiel: Die Online-Spiel-Version von Certabo (v 2.0) ist doch derzeit, zumindest was Lichess betrifft, nur eingeschränkt nutzbar, oder? Mit Certabo-Boards wird man von Lichess wohl als Bot eingestuft und eine Sperre droht. Meine ersten Versuchen nach Erscheinen der Online-Version waren sowieso sehr ernüchtert, ich habe zig Spiele verloren, weil die Synchronisation nicht funktioniert hat. Nachdem ich aber mittlerweile die Zuordnung der com-ports im Gerätemanager besser im Griff habe, muss ich das nun nochmals checken. Vielleicht muss ich da meine erste Meinung "revidieren".

Also ich habe einige Partien mit einem Certabo-Besitzer aus Sidney auf Lichess problemlos spielen können. Einstellung der Partie 15+15. Lichess nimmt das Certabo-Board wie eine Tastatur oder Mauseingabe war.

Hallo,

Es gibt eine neue Version 1.2.2, die jetzt auch unter Fritz im Analysemodus die UCI Engine anspricht. Der von Fritz nicht gesendte "ucinewgame" Befehl ist nun kein Problem mehr.

Ich habe die Datei der Eroeffnungsbibiliothek umbenannt.

Du kannst auch andere Spieler direkt herausfordern. Du kannst aber nicht bei Turnieren mitmachen und auch keine Partie ausrichten.
Zur Sinnhaftigkeit: Der Bot-Account ist die einzige Variante die von Lichess erlaubt ist.

News on the python UCI side:

I've committed a number of enhancements on github. The latest code now uses an internal thread for the serial communication. The port can be specified on the commandline and also via an UCI option. It defaults to 'auto', which uses serial port auto-detection. It skips all devices with different vendor id & pid. So false detection chance is minimized. The latest version also fixes a bug in concert with lichess-bot.py, as that one sends two "isready" commands. This caused behavior where two serial threads were spawned, interfering with each other. Also the port is now locked exclusively. The new thread based serial communication does also handle reconnects to a different serial device (e.g. on linux the USB serial adapter might get assigned a different device on reconnect). In 'auto' port config it will just do an additional scan before attempting to reconnect. Board rotation has been added as option, but that's untested. Calibration is also an option, and apparently works fine. All differences between the internal board representation and the phyiscal board will be shown via LED state (e.g. wrong piece setup, invalid moves, etc). The current master branch does play nicely with pychess and lichess-bot.py

I've commited plenty of enhancements/fixes over the last days. certabo-uci.py did also receive a lot of testing. Not only with lichess-bot and pychess. I've also done plenty of testing with SCID vs PC, jcchess and Arena for Linux (3.9 beta). This was helpful to identify flaws in my UCI handling (e.g. neither lichess-bot nor pychess do send a 'position fen <fen>' but just startpos). Also wanted to try Shredder 5 Classic demo, but that apparently doesn't have an engine tournament mode.

Hallo,

ich habe die Version 1.4.0 veröffentlich. Darin sind einige Fehler behoben, insbesondere die Analyseausgabe einer UCI-Engine, dem Zusammenspiel mehrerer Engine-Instanzen sowie einem automatischen Verbindungsaufbau, sollte mal das Kabel abrutschen.

Wer möchte kann auch beim Spiel mir einer UCI Engine ein Eröffnungsbuch benutzen, Arena- oder Polyglo-Format. Das macht aber eigentlich nur unter Arena-GUI wirklich Sinn, weil dort man unter "Demo" einfach die aktuelle Engine gegen sich selbst spielen lassen kann.
