From software point of view, the EAS conversion of Elite Privat / Private Line is identical to the original chesscomputer, hence I never added it to MAME. Today I added an extra view option for it.

Yes it is possible to show a decimal value in the artwork. The undo counter in chess computer drivers is like that. Or see for example the lchicken driver. Your 2nd question: Yes it's also possible I think, but more cumbersome than the other method.

Well, what I see there in the drivers and layouts this 'counter' works only for integer values in a fixed range (e.g. simplecounter maxstate="999" ...), but these position evaluations are decimal numbers like 2.13 or -0.78.

Then multiply by 100 and modulo by 100 to get the number after the decimal point? And for the negative sign make a fake led and draw it as "-" or nothing.

That's way too complicated, but I remembered that the Saitek Renaissance can automatically change the layout (LCD Drawer In/Out), so I've now used this method from your renaissa driver and it works perfectly. :)

mir ist heute eine Kleinigkeit aufgefallen.
Beim Novag Diablo 68000 werden in Arena die Level gar nicht,oder falsch übergeben.

Hallo Volker,
also da machst (oder verstehst) du irgendwas falsch - hab's gerade nochmal probiert und es funktioniert ohne Probleme.

Und zwischen WinBoard und Arena kann es da auch keinen Unterschied geben, denn die Leveleinstellung macht das Plugin, und das ist für beide GUIs gleich.

Ich glaube bei dir 'blitzt' auch irgendwas, lieber Volker! :D

Wenn du beim Diablo in Arena Level a7 (oder A7) eingibst, dann wird er auf "_level 7 sel 3" eingestellt - das siehst du auch während der Einstellung in der Anzeige. Wenn du dir danach mit den Buttons [Set Level], [<-] und mehrmals [Yes/Start] die Zeiten ansiehst, dann erscheint "_moves 40" und "_time 2:00:00", also genau so, wie es für Level 7 (a7) sein soll.
Wie der Diablo dann während einer Partie (oder bei einem bestimmten Zug) tatsächlich reagiert, dafür kann weder Arena noch das Plugin irgendwas (und ich schon gar nicht ;)).
