Es ging mir vor allem um das adaptive Spiel, was mir leider zum Training nicht sehr förderlich ist.

Die Querverweise zum anderen Forum habe ich nicht beachtet, sorry.

Bei deiner Testpartie steht "Hartmut 1500 vs Centaur 1500", das kann ich nicht genau einordnen, bist du FIDE Spieler mit ELO 1500 und schätzt den Centaur adaptiv dementsprechend gleich an, da adaptiv ?

Habe Ihn nun selber mal in 3 Testpartien antreten lassen, gegen

a) CT800 (1770ELO)
b) Hiarcs iOS (1800ELO)
c) Performance (1750 ELO)


a) Centaur weiss, setzt nach 73 Zügen Matt, trotz einigen Patzern.
b) C. schwarz , Aufgabe Hiarcs nach 58.
c) C. schwarz, nach grobem Patzer im 25. Zug, Aufgabe King in Z.31.

Alle Partien relativ ausgeglichen, ungenau wird mit ungenau erwidert, auf Fehler folgt Fehler, dann stetiger Ausbau bis Vorteil und der Strick geht zu, offensichtlich erst im Übergang zum Endspiel, aber mir fehlt es eindeutig an Spielstärke um die Engine Analyse zu interpretieren.

Eins steht damit fest, als Trainingsgerät ist der Centaur für mich völlig ungeeignet. Es ist und bliebt ein Spass Gerät gegen Menschen, ob mit oder ohne Bikini. :cool:

Als Sommer-Partie-Gerät wollte ich ihn eigentlich nicht verwenden, aber die Idee ist ja vielleicht gar nicht so schlecht - Partie dann aber mit "y".

Nein, die Werte wurden automatisch eingetragen. Wir (Sascha und ich) haben uns nicht die Mühe gemacht, jetzt wirkliche Werte in der pdf einzutragen. Beim Centaur wurde das sowieso nie gemessen und ein menschlicher Spieler würde mit Elo 1500 auf Stufe Schwierig wohl trotz adaptiven Spiels mehr Schwierigkeiten haben. Ich habe keine offizielle Elo-Zahl, da ich aus Zeitgründen kaum noch Nahschach spiele. Sie dürfte aber wohl schätzungsweise irgendwo um die 2000 liegen. Im Fernschach liegt sie derzeit bei 2335 (also irgendwo unter ferner war da noch... Platz 1599 von etwas über 4900 aktiven Spielern beim ICCF). Aber die Fernschachzahl ist da nicht vergleichbar. Auch reale Elo-Zahlen sind mit Compis übrigens nur schwer vergleichbar, weil ein Compi halt nicht dazulernt. Weisst Du mal, wie man ihn strategisch/positionell packen kann, dann packst Du ihn auch wenn Du vielleicht nominell 200 Elo-Punkte weniger hast. Zumindest bei unseren Bretties (Auf die heute modernen Power-Engines passt das natürlich nicht mehr. Da wäre auch ein Magnus Carlsen überfordert).

Nach dem Erfolg der Netflix-Serie "Damengambit" könnte es bei den Bikini-Mädels leichter geworden sein, mit Interesse am Schachspiel zu reüssieren :D

This will be my last comment here. I enjoyed the discussions, specialy about the Centaur. I’m still convinced that for me and a lot of other chess lovers it’s a great companion. Not in the last place for children who just start to play chess. I’ve seen it myself.

Why my last comment? I’m sorry to tell you that a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with cancer, incurable. I’m treated with chemo, but that is just to extend, unknown for how long.

I am shocked about these bad news. But never give up. I know that in some cases the doctors said "it is incurable" but then it happened and the cancer was gone. So never never never lose your hope.

I am really sorry to hear about your devastating news.

I myself have survived the dreaded prostate cancer but live with fear that it might return.

I will miss your posts here as I am sure everyone here will.

I am not a religious man but my "thoughts" are with you and your family.

Thanks for your kind words.
I also had prostate cancer and the treatment went well, but now I’m diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, allready spread into my bones. It is so agressive that without chemo I would have been past away allready.
I just had my second chemo from four. The aim is to extend, so that we can have a nice last summer.

Keep faithful and don't surrender - there is always hope, even if Medicine naturally reaches it limits.

Somehow, we're are all some kind of "voyagers" on that temporary journey.
