Gibt es eigentlich eine "offiziell lizensierte" Version von Mess, mit der gehandelt werden darf?!

MAME (and also the MESSUI fork) product as a whole are GPL2+.
The GPL2 license permits you to sell it.

Selling the ROMs is a problem though.
Not our problem, but a problem between the seller and the rightsholders.

Mal davon abgesehen dass die "Aufarbeitung" ja wohl auf der Arbeit hier im Forum und damit auf Franz Arbeit basiert...

Ah yes, the photos are very dark, but i see CB-Emu in the titlebar on some of the photos.

- CB-Emu (old version) is derived from an older MAME/MESS version before MAME went open-source license. The old MAME license forbids you to sell it.
- MessExtra and MessChess are technically GPL2+
- external artwork and Franz's plugins are unknown license (the plugins by Sandro are all BSD3 open source)

"Aufarbeitung"??? Darf ich lachen?
Die besteht wohl nur darin. mein CB-Emu-Paket auf eine CD zu kopieren.
Kein schlechtes Geschaft: 15,- Euro für eine CD (die nicht einmal 1,- Euro kostet), und an der jemand anders mehr als 5 Jahre gearbeitet hat!

Eines erscheint mit jedenfalls seltsam: nur 3 Tage nachdem hier jemand "Wo findet man Emulatorprogramme" gepostet hat, erscheint jetzt diese Anzeige auf ebay?
Na ja, jetzt weiß er ja, wo man sie findet.

Mir ist damit jetzt jedenfalls die Lust vergangen, mit CB-Emu noch weiterzumachen ...

Franz, the world is full of little rascals like this.

Last year a person from the USA made me waste many hours with his Elite Avantgarde. He explained that it was from his father, that it had a lot of sentimental value, that he was looking forward to repairing it but that he had little money, etc. I finally agreed that he sends it to me, and I repaired it for very little money (I actually lost money on that repair). A few days after he received it back, he advertised it for sale on eBay ...using photos I took myself! LOL xD

Now I laugh that there are such miserable people, but at that moment it certainly didn't make me laugh at all.

Das hatte ich mir auch schon überlegt - allerdings hab ich keinen ebay-Account, und nur deswegen werde ich mich dort auch nicht anmelden.

Allerdings bin ich nicht begeistert von direkten Links zu meinen Programmen - wenn, dann sollte man eher auf meine Webseite verlinken.
Da könnte man dann auch gleich dazuschreiben "geklaut von ..." ;)

Edit: Oh, ich sehe gerade, daß diese Anzeige inzwischen schon wieder entfernt wurde. Da hat sich wohl schon jemand bei ebay beschwert!? :D

Jep... und rate mal wer... Können außer mir natürlich auch noch andere gewesen sein, lach. Zudem kam der Typ auch noch aus meiner Stadt. Das wollte ich auf uns Nürnbergern nicht sitzen lassen.
