@Michael: Great! This one was the milestone not only for chesscomputer but also for computerchess from that point on, more and more people got interested in computerchess ... even if it is weaker like a four year old child. I have such a device and it is really hard to lose against it ... :lol:

And for those of you who have observed the improper use of a tool that is not exactly cheap: Indeed those cutting pliers are for "soft copper" and they get ruined with the nails. I used them because they were already damaged and I couldn't catch the head of the nail without enlarging the surrounding groove further. ;)

I don't think, that many users here would be happy with your suggestion, Bryan. ;)

And furthermore it's not sure, if my CB-Emu project will ever have an end - at least not as long as I'm still alive. :D

Genau, und deswegen ist der CC1 auch schon wieder in CB-Emu eingebaut! :)

Beim Aufruf aus CB-Emu heraus erfolgt der Start natürlich wieder mit WinBoard, ganz Hartgesottene können aber auch direkt mit dem CC1 in MessExtra spielen (beim zusätzlichen Brett hab ich schon mal die Koordinaten entsprechend vertauscht).

Also dieses Gerät ist wirklich eine Katastrophe: keine einstellbaren Levels, kann nur mit Schwarz spielen, und dann diese vertauschten Koordinaten - jedesmal wenn ich auf das Display schaue, dann verknoten sich wieder ein paar Windungen in meinem Gehirn. Ich hab fast schon überlegt, ob ich die LED-Anzeige ausschaltbar machen soll. :D

CC1 spielt Weiss (oder Schwarz, natürlich). Ohne .txt umbenennen.

Aah, das ist der Trick, der in der Wiki erwähnt ist - hab das jetzt auch gesehen.
Dein Plugin ist allerdings etwas umständlich, es geht auch einfacher ohne eine zweite zusätzliche 'send_pos'-Funktion. ;)

Hallo Franz,
ich möchte nur auf ein Problem hinweisen, das Du nicht ändern kannst: Unter WB kann es sein, dass es nicht mehr weitergeht. Ich hatte mir den Spaß gemacht, eine Partie gegen den CC1 zu spielen. Nach ein paar Zügen hatte ich die typische Springergabel auf c7, mit der man Schach gibt und den Turm bedroht ... leider interessiert das den CC1 nicht und er will die lange Rochade ausführen, was WB nicht mitmacht. :D

Leider wird man das nicht ändern können, da der CC1 sich nicht an alle Regeln hält.

Dies nur als allgemeiner Hinweis, bevor Beschwerden kommen, dass es mit dem CC1 Probleme gibt ... ;)

Ja Sascha, das hab ich schon gelesen, daß der CC1 nicht einmal die Schachregeln beherrscht bzw. sogar solche unerlaubten Züge macht.
Aber genau damit ist es eben auch möglich, mit Schwarz gegen ihn zu spielen.
Und Du hast recht, daß ich das auch im Plugin nicht verhindern kann, da müßte schon Winboard auf so eine illegale Rochade entsprechend reagieren.

Aber was soll's, wer spielt denn schon wirklich mit diesem Schachcomputer, der spielt ja wirklich das reinste Kaffeehaus-Schach. :D
