Try

TIMER(config, "bav_busy").configure_generic(nullptr);
change to:
TIMER(config, "bav_busy").configure_generic(timer_device::expire d_delegate());

Yep, that worked - now all other new drivers are compiling without any problems, too!

Many thanks! :top:

hap, in the modular driver you write:
"TODO:
- add the missing very rare 'TM' Tournament Machines"

IIRC I've sent you all these TM-ROMs (Berlin/London/Lyon/Portorose/Vancouver) a few months ago, didn't I?
Which further informations would you need to implement these devices, too?

I haven't received any.

I think they're all 'simply' 2MB RAM and 36MHz 68030, right? PCB photos would be nice of course, the only one on the wiki is from a WM 60MHz version.

Oops, I was sure I've sent it to you.
Ok, I'll write you an email with the whole package.

There are a few infos in my TM-ROM package, but maybe someone here owns such a TM machine and can make any photos of the PCB.

Danke! And also much thanks to the person that dumped these roms.
Can someone tell me, was there a chesscomputer competition in Berlin? After Vancouver, or before Vancouver?

The Berlin TM version is "Vancouver 68030", version number is the same as the actual Vancouver, but lots of differences in the ROM.

Hi,
it is a rare version after the Vancouver. But as far as I know it runs only in the "real" TM with 60 / 66 MHz and 8 MB RAM.

Within the "commercial" Version with 36 MHZ / 2 MB it will not run.

Regards,
Sascha

Why do people name it "Berlin"?
Did someone compare the chess engine to Berlin 68000 and saw similarities?

Or was there an actual chesscomputer tournament in Berlin where this machine was used?

Here's a link to Wikipedia about these Mephisto TM/WM machines:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mephis...ament_machines

There's no Berlin version mentioned, so maybe naming this ROM 'Berlin' was just a mistake.

No, that name is no mistake! This was a development version. And no, that "Berlin" has nothing to do with the Mephisto Berlin.

Ok understood, then it was Richard Lang who codenamed this dev version "Berlin", and it's not an assumption from a chesscomputer collector.
