Thanks for the photos! Did I say Fairlight? It's Fairchild. But not an F8 here, A Motorola 6800-compatible CPU with external ROM.

Well... Looks like we may need to obtain and disassemble one of these units, too. I've tried to buy this one on eBay (link), but the seller doesn't accept PayPal, and I can't do international bank transfers now.

Let's see if there's another opportunity in the future!

Danke, es war einfach ein 256x4 RAM und battery. Warum 180DM? viel zu teuer. :P

If I try to emulate the NVRAM, it boots up with bogus settings(and empty chessboard). There must be a key function to change settings to defaults. Nothing is mentioned in the manual of the main chesscomputer.
