Hier habe ich ein Bild von Novag Emerald gemacht, der in der Berliner Schule Testpartie 5, Zug 17 Schwarz berechnet. 15 Minuten und 10 Sekunden und ich rechne immer noch. Das ist mit einer Einstellung von A7 Feld, die TR7 = 2 Stunden/40 Züge sein sollte.

Vielleicht kann jemand, der einen Novag Emerald hat, dies überprüfen und bestätigen, so dass ich weiß, dass es entweder ein Problem mit Novag Emerald oder mit meinem Computer ist. Ich habe auch schon einmal den kompletten Testsatz mit 30 Sekunden pro Zug gespielt (Feld a5) und es dauert auch länger als es sollte (eher 3 minuten pro Zug)

Ich denke, dass die TR Einstellungen von Novag Emerald nicht konform sind.

Hi Nick,
I don‘t think there is a problem with your Emerald. Mine does it the same way.
It’s the typical (good) Novag time management on tournament level. The more moves you make in a very short time the more time the computer saves for computing the next move.
For example, when it is in its opening book for, let’s say, 20 moves, then has to calculate, it takes often longer than 20 minutes for the first response (on tr7).
The same happens when you use the referee/multi move function to reach a specific position. Emerald counts the number of moves from the new game position and thinks: oh, it’s move 18, I haven’t spent any time so I’ll look at the next move for 20 minutes.

Ok that means I am going to have to find another setting to simulate 3 minutes per move otherwise Novag's will get higher scores than they really should. Any suggestions on a setting?

Worst case A5 square under these take back conditions seem to simulate closer to 3 minutes per move.

... maybe try Level At8 = Average time 3 Minutes = square B8.

OK when I finish with TR7 I will go back and do it again with At8. 60 Minute game might be interesting too since the tests average out at 20 moves for white and 20 moves black.

Ich bin wieder zurück an der Pariser Schule und habe gerade zwölf weitere Brettschachcomputer fertiggestellt. Damit sind es insgesamt 40 Schachcomputer, die die Tests der Pariser Schule absolviert haben:
