Hallo Franz,
ich habe Dein Update geladen und die Dateien ersetzt ... jetzt sieht der Scorpio wie im Anhang aus, ohne Figuren ... egal, ob internes oder externes Layout. :o

Wo ist mein Fehler?

Ich kenne das bei MessChess gar nicht anders, dass da keine Figuren zu sehen sind. Oder meinst Du CB-EMU?

Das Update war aber nur für MessChess; hast Du die Artworks etwa ins CB-EMU-Artwork Verzeichnis kopiert? Die waren für MessChess gedacht. Der CB-EMU-Scorpio schaut bei mir ganz normal aus (also mit Figuren)

Hallo Sascha,
dann hast Du das falsche Artwork ersetzt!
Das geänderte (in diesem Update) ist natürlich nur für die MessChess-Version, in CB-Emu hat sich ja nichts geändert.
Genau aus diesem Grund erzeuge ich ja immer in solchen Updates die gesamte Verzeichnisstruktur, damit man eben Dateien nicht in ein falsches Verzeichnis kopiert - beim Entzippen kommt eigentlich alles immer genau an die richtige Stelle.
Für CB-Emu brauchst Du also einfach wieder nur die alte Version (CB-Emu\artwork\scorpio68.zip) aus dem letzten Gesamtpaket verwenden.

The compilation of MAME Final ChessCard, with the roms and the manual (German) can be downloaded from:

After mame_fcc.exe, we select the version of Commodore 64, (the first, for example) and write FCC, select the cartridge version in English, or German.

Selecting game levels or options is a bit cumbersome without the mouse, but it is possible.

The movements of the cursor:
ALT GR (right) Up - Down
CTRL (right) Up - Download

Very important: To change the direction CAPS SHIFT !!!

To select options press the arrow up direction + cursor up (ALT GR (right)) and lateral cursor (CTRL (right)) and lowering the cursor select the option.

To play, we simply type the movement. If you do nothing, press CAPS SHIFT and repeat them.

With ALT + letter we can have some keyboard shortcuts.
ALT + N New game
ALT + M Move
ALT + Q Quit, etc

Wow, das sind ja gute Nachrichten... Ich sags ja, man muss nur genug rumnölen, lach.
Wenn Franz das jetzt noch in sein Emu-Professional-Paket... Jaja, ich werd schon wieder unverschämt.

By the Way: Franz, wurde der CPU-Divider nicht angeblich optimiert? Irgendwie bricht bei deinem aktuellen Download die Geschwndigkeit bei Maximaleinstellung ganz gewaltig ein. So komm ich derzeit beim Sensory Chess Challenger EP12 über 2,5fache Geschwindigkeit unter Winboard nicht hinaus. Gar kein Vergleich zur Version unter CB-Emu.

hap's tip for the mouse:

On CMD, cd to mame_fcc folder and type
mame_fcc c64 fcc -joy2 mouse

Or copy this bat

Press ALT to access the menu.

Das hättest Du wohl gerne? Keine Chance - ich werde doch jetzt nicht auch noch die ganze Riege an Heimcomputern (C64, Amiga, Atari usw.) in CB-Emu einbauen, nur weil es für diese PCs auch Schachprogramme gibt. Das wäre höchstens was für ein neues, eigenes MAME-Paket.
Nun, da mußt Du Dich schon an 'hap' wenden. Ich hab diesen CPU-Divider-Code damals aus CB-Emu wieder komplett entfernt, aber um die aktuelle MAME-Version (in MessChess) kümmere ich mich nicht mehr.
