Thank you so much to all of you for your kind words about the GM Petrosian project, especially to Sascha.

I have tried to understand everything written in German, which is not an easy task. :D

And I have decided to clarify a few points:

The first units were designed at 20 or 25 MHz. Later I got a batch of special Motorola CPUs that could run at 32 MHz, so I made some modifications to the original design to make it run at 32MHz in a stable way. If any GM Petrosian owner has a 20/25 MHz unit, and would like to upgrade to 32 MHz, please contact me: It won't be easy because I have very few fast CPUs left, but we can discuss it..

The first prototype (#00) is owned by Wolfgang Zugrav, as it is in fact thanks to him that I was able to develop this whole project. I later assembled a prototype for myself, for further experimentation, but it is not for sale.

So far I have only assembled 14 units, I do not keep any GM Petrosian for myself, although I'm now assembling unit #15 and it will soon have a new owner. ;)

I will be able to assemble maybe one last #16 unit, but I don't think any more. Because all the last batches I'm buying of Motorola 68000 with PLCC package are either counterfeits, or can't run at 32MHz. #16 would be a nice number to end with, don't you think?

Units #2 to #14 can operate with DC voltage from 7.5 to 12V. The power consumption is less than 150 mA, and a large part of this is due to the backlit LCD! :D

Nachdem sich Gerardo erklärt hat … vielleicht outen sich ja die anderen stolzen Petrosian Besitzer aus dem Forum. ;)

Und gut zu wissen, dass nach mir immerhin noch zwei weitere Fans dieser tollen praktischen Kunstwerke in den Genuss derselbigen kommen … :top:

Nicht nur dass man den Petrosian mit 7,5 Volt, 9 Volt oder 12 Volt antreiben kann ... nein, auch ein Verpolungsschutz ist vorhanden, falls man doch mal unbedacht ein falsch gepoltes Netzteil anschließt.

Zum Abschluss möchte ich Gerardo für seine Mühen danken, zumal ich weiß, dass er Probleme hatte, die Teile in diesen Zeiten zu bekommen. Ebenso dafür, dass er mich und jetzt auch euch an der Entstehung dieses Kleinods in Form von Fotos hat teilhaben lassen ... sie verdeutlichen in beeindruckender Weise, welche Leistung einerseits, aber auch welche Kunst in diesem Projekt steckt! Und last not least meinem Freund Micha, der bei der Vermittlung half und auch ansonsten wie immer hilfreich zur Seite stand!

Ich hoffe, euch hat das Lesen ein klein wenig Spaß gemacht.
